In October 2023, our team successfully completed the design and installation of a high-efficiency solar PV and battery storage system for a commercial client in Alfreton, Derbyshire. This renewable energy solution was tailored to significantly reduce the client’s energy bills, enhance sustainability credentials, and provide future-proof energy independence.

The project required careful coordination to minimise disruption to the client's daily operations. With a three-phase supply and high daytime energy usage, the system needed to efficiently balance solar generation and battery discharge across all phases.
Our solution was to deploy AFORE’s robust hybrid inverter and battery technology, capable of managing load and solar inputs dynamically. The batteries allow excess solar energy generated during daylight hours to be stored and discharged during peak periods or at night, further optimising savings.
Performance & Impact
Since commissioning, the system has delivered consistent energy savings. Early performance data indicates that the solar and battery setup is offsetting a significant portion of the site's daytime energy usage, particularly during peak solar months. The battery storage system is effectively shifting excess generation to cover evening loads, resulting in reduced grid reliance and noticeable reductions in monthly electricity costs.
